Hey guys,

Anyone else have those new bridgestones on their car?

The other week, i got 2 put on the front wheels - and they are the best thing i've ever done (except for maybe new front shockers + bumpstops)

my non-powersteering magna is far more easier to turn (they are a heavy car + the crappy turning circle:doubt: ) cos it's a nice soft compound, there's considerably less tread/cabin noise with them and they grip to the road nice (i cant get wheelspin as easy anymore:cry: )

These tyres, plus some new shockers has made my car feel 200% safer - I feel as if I can stop the car in time if I have to - and i dont bottom out over spoon drains anymore.

Anyways, like to hear others opinions about them.

Cheers,
Bill

New tyres will always grip better than oldies... as they age, rubber hardens.

Not a big fan of Bridgestone as all the old Steel Cats I've used always go
rock hard after about 3 yrs. No grip, wet grip even worse.

After I fell off the road once too often  , decided to go Good Year on the 1st gen.
Have used their GA & GA-Plus in 195/65.... no way could get wheelspin in dry.

Hope they've improved their rubber since the RD229s!

my old tyres still had lots of tread on them... i just needed a spare tyre, so i thought i'll get some better ones for the front and make them spares... my back tyres were newer than my fronts (front did have simex tyres - they were cheap replacement to replace the retreads that the alloys had on them when i stole them from my aunties TN elite - i hate retreads)

good boy - yep Retreads are Evil!!! :rocket:

I won't get into any car that runs retreads... hell, if ya honestly
can't afford proper tyres (& insurance), ya can't afford to drive.

If any stupid retread user involves me/family in an accident... I'll surely
be "retreading" his/her/its face.
