I just got a JVC head unit from someone off AMC,

and the wires comming out of it, are all RED, which is cool except nothing is labeled, and the little diagram on the JVC has everything labeled with the colour of the wire

(like they shouldve stuck a diagram showing which pin/wire was for what, instead of using the colours)

ANYWAYZ, if anyone has one, or model similar that can gimmeh a pic or diagram of which pin is for what thatll help out heaps :)

or if someone can reassure me that plugging in each wire till i find the right one wont **** up the HU :P

Sorry to revive what must be a really old thread to you guys, but I'm hoping you can help a newbie please. :)

We just bought a 97 TF wagon and it has a JVC KD-s585 and we've worked out most of the controls by simply pushing buttons and see what they do, but can't set the clock.

Try holding down the select button for 3 seconds, it should bring up the extended menu.

Say hi to Max from AMC

Welcome to the forums ;)

Thanks for the welcome and I'll try your tip tomorrow. :)

Oops on the username if there's a long-time-resident Max.

We've called the car Max - is that bad form?
