i went to pedders today and got new front shocks and couple of bushes replace and it came to $908 dollar i said f*#k me owell and payed they wanted and extra $600 plus to do the rear shocks what a rip i wont be going back there ever again :rant: :rant:

yeh i got my fronts done with pedders at a reputatble tyre shop and they charged me just over $500, worth every dollar too my car handles like a dream now.
shop around for the same shocks you will find them cheaper than that

didnt u get a quote before u booked it in ?

yeah i did they said around 600 all up but i think they didnt put labour in to that dumb*ss

600 all up sounds like it includes labour seeing shocks are around 130 for the pair.........

if thats wat u were quoted dont pay any more then that

Which Pedders? They are all individually managed, shops like this give Pedders bad name....
I've been using the one in Liverpool (Syd) and so far ok.

NEVER go to pedders they are a rippoff when it comes to installing stuff. i'm going to get shocks and springs fitted and alignment for $800 at tyre place in Campbelltown. Pedders quoted me $1100 for the same job

How many Ks have you done on your Veradas before needing new shockers, guys?

Damn... i got my shocks from Anthony (Phillcomrally) not long ago for like under $500. KYB shocks they are. Just haven't installed them yet. Not quite sure who to go to... Might just go back to THE TYRE FACTORY.

qld i know i will never go there again the alignment is out now so i rang them and said i want it done for free again they go i need to spend 400 on castor or camber pins .it was right before and i m not spending more money i have no money left .so now i no again for another day .SO NEVER USE PEDDERS THEY ARE CRAP!!!

camber pins are like $40
u should go get yur money back and get them to put yur old shocks back in free of charge then use that money elsewhere

Had no probs with Pedders in Newcastle, excellent service and more than happy with the result.:D $497 lowered springs fitted, aligned, and checked once settled and realigned for free too

go to a diff suspension place,
tell them yur situation and they will look after u

i have pedders low ryders and monroe gt gas shocks... i'm happy with the ride height and comfort so far..

crap... i was gonna get my shockies from them after i install the springs... dus anyone know where else i can get a good set of shockies for the 2nd gen wagon?

When I had my pulsar those d**ks qouted me $1100 just to replace the shocks so I shopped around and end up paying $480 :D which include everything, so I agree pedders are crap :rant:

i think your taking it out of context as youv had one bad experience with a company selling and installing pedders shocks, as i said when i got my front ones done they only charged me just over $500 and threw in a wheel allignments for free and iv had no problems with them and my wheel allignment is still perfect . I dont think you should put everyone else off pedders when there are those who have had good expenriences with them, not meaning to give you a hard time or anything but i think pedders are a decent company, just have to find the right people to fit them.

Best thing to do would be to go to another Pedders Store and ask them for a printed quote.

Or even get someone you know to go to that same Pedders store and get a quote.

yes $908 that was just the front and another 600 for rear shocks plus camber kit,4wheel alignment (not gettin done)

yeah but these dodgy shops are operating under the pedders name. Its upto the company to ensure that they dont rip customers off. Its not upto the customer to search for the right pedders suspension place and screen them. The company website promotes and backs all their franchises it doesnt say pedders at suburb x is dodgy go to suburb y.
A mate just bought a new honda and complained to head office about the dealers service. They listened to him for 15 minutes, got the dealer manager to call back, apologise, rectify the problem and promised to follow up with another call to check the progress and more (oh and they promised to reprimand the sales person)

but are they a sports setup as i got quote $350 just for the the stock pedders front shocks but whats the point when iv already got stocks ones in the car, i think you need at least sports struts when you lower the car and i would be getting custom shortened struts if i could afford it but obviously i cant
