im sticking in my cd player today (hopefully) and with my custom centre console, the antenna wire doesnt reach...

is it ok to hack and extend it (i dont have a soldering iron atm, so itll just be wrap n tape for now)
or should i go about tryin to pull the wire abit further?

i tried having a look yesterday, but from under the driver seat, it looks like its goes into the body :(

I would got to Jaycar or tandy or dicksmith abd see if you can but a half a metre extension save hacking.. u would think quality will be effected by hacking.. :D

Antenna cable should be a coaxial cable
(1 conductor centrally, wrapped by a ground mesh sheath).

Splicing it could cause funny impedance problems.

Yeh they sell them everyhwhere, the little extensions.

I got a few lying around but im in vic.

That would be ur best bet anyway. The stuff is sheilded so tape wouldnt be the best idea.

The antenna runs under the carpet on the drivers footwell.
