Tis'nt actually.. this one is just a fixed array of angled steel fins.
If you ask me I don't know how you can increase air flow by putting something in the way lol but they all reckon you can.

What a waste of money. If its that good, why don't all the pro's use em.
The only thing it'd make go fast is the money from your wallet

Look there goes a flying pig.
Just had a look at the turbulator site. what a load of crap. Bit like an electric supercharger.
Shonky people have been trying to flog rubbish like this to un informed drivers since the first cars hit the roads. You only have to look back through old car mags, popular mechanics etc and there will always be something for sale that is going to give fantastic gains in power/economy/improved engine life/ improved sex life etc etc.

Oh dear god not another one
i have a better idea for the people who want to have a "cheap" supercharger
go and wack a blowervac to the intake
at least you'll get a better boost :P

lol Yeah its a cheap gimick I know, but funny all the same.
Just as an aside, my nerd of a cousin fitted a 'supercharger' to his dads lawnmower... a gutted and modifed hairdryer feeding straight into the air intake operating off the flywheel thingy! And it works!! The lawnmower sounds like its gonna take off and its a wonder the blades still hang together their spinnin that fast! :bowrofl:

I saw a Website where there was a Pod style Air Filter with what looked like a series of PC power sulpply fans in its Tube, it was activated by a switch on your throttle cable.. apparently it worked as there were Dyno results to prove it... I just cannot find the link for it at the moment....
But true, Air Sensors hate swirling air or else why do you think they all have a chamber of resevoir things all over the place to smooth out the air flow...
A friend of mine tried out an Idea of mounting a 12 Electric Fan motor onto his HQ Utes air intake .. It smoothed out his revs but no noticable increase in power...

Dark_Magician brought one to the QLD Cruz on sunday, but hasn't installed it yet. His has an electric motor, that spins the turbine, "forcing' air into the engine. Not sure if it makes any difference. Ask him.

What if, we had dual pipes leading into the throttle body, and had 1 on one of them? like this:
{airbox}----------(TB)
\ /
\____><_________/
Or would it work putting the fans after the airbox, like on my intake where i have stock intake and a cai (i could hook it up to the cai).
Might be worth a try, but i wouldn't wanna pay that much only to find out it's a piece of sh!t.
***EDIT***
OK the diagram looks **** but you get the idea :).

It may sound like bs to you guys, but if you think about it, if you cause the air to spiral it can compress on itself. Also it becomes more direct, like in the barrel of a gun. This could actually work! As long as you didn't restrict the air to much it might just work. But $70US is alot more money to gamble on!
