The 3rd gen V6 water pump is a bit more involved than the 2.6 astron to change. It is driven by the cam belt therefore timing belt covers and timing belt have to be removed to access the pump.
don't know how much just letting you know it may be a biggish job.

Hey peoples
Thanx for all your help, I am still a little confussed the only reason i know about this is because when i lent me car to a friend for a week her uncle (A mech) had a look and she was very shady on what he said.
Does this water pump have anything to do with A/c and or why (if not a/c) is it not seemin to effect anything.
Also i have a ADI gold warranty which sates it covers sum type of water pump.
Thanx Peoples

I got a V6 TS and just had my water pump replaced.... It was a big job on the V6, but coz it was in for it's timing belt replacment at the same time, it was better for em to do it all in one hit..! Cost $160 for water pump bit replaced...!

Hey ppl
Yeah im gonna ring mech 2moro arvo (after work) and get it booked in, i know i need a new ISC but im still very unsure about this whole water pump issue i might just get it replaced anyways (My t/b did only cost 220 so should not cost over 400, but thats 400 4 piece of mind can u really pu a price on that) but my main question is as ive done 200 now and im gettin the isc, and lookin like w/p, is there anything else u can suggest that i get looked at twhilst im going to save another trip to my mech.
Cheers Ppls

outer cv's maybe,
did mine when i did waterpump that was 150 on the clock, so more then likely u already have done them..
wat was it u were trying to find out about the waterpump/ a/c...
if its coolant leaking be waterpump not a/c...( if ya dont have air con on and its leaking its waterpump) best way be jump under and trace the leak.
mine was only when starting when cold it would leak.hot wouldnt leak
i wasnt sure what u meant so this could not be relavent at all peace
p.s whats wrong with ur idle motor not holding rev?? if so had the same problem just gave it a clean out had fair bit of carbon gunk built up and after that was fine.

the labour cost to install it will more than likely cost more than the part if i am not mistaken.

I have a leak Left Hand Side looks like water, however a household a/c leaks after usage so is that common in cars, me olds old nimbus used to do it.
My temp gage says its fine.
Im not sure what smell i should be tryin to smell to find any signs of overheatin, i smell somethin but ****ed if i know what it is.
Me isc is stuffed me mech quick fix by increasin screw atm she revs from 1800 back 2 bout 1000 on start up and no change when goin from a/c on to a/c off.
