This one is a tad more modern than the last one in this thread (http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16616). But anyway, here is what I have done with a minimal budget for now just in case people want some simply clean ideas.

Battery, fuse mount and earthing kit:

Amp under seat. Velcro'd down to avoid drilling holes in the floor. Before anyone comments, yes the velcro well and truly holds it in place! :)

Doors are deadened using half a roll of deadening. Inner and outer skin is done and diffusers are behind the speakers. Of course 16AWG speaker cables are run through to the doors too. Pods are colour matched to the doors and are only long enough to cover the holes left by the pocket when removed. Naturally mids are soldered and heatshrunk.

Tweeters are mounted in the kicks to achieve a perfect stage and no they don't fire right at your feet when they're on the accelerator.

Loom for deck is soldered and heatshrunk.

A couple more cable run shots for you.

looks good..

But is a tweeter really going to have much effect down next to your foot.

Seeing as your foot will be covering the tweeter a majority of the time..

Always good to see people read the text as well as look at the images.

As for staging, read this (http://www.fastfoursforumscarclub.com/temp/fhrxstudios/faq.asp#12).

Well studies show that most people are now on broadband so we are happy to post large images. Would you like them reduced?

That's it. I'm going to FHRX for a gutful of Battery, 0-Guage AWG to the boot with a split charge, and a light install. Maybe a set of pods and deadening for the front doors.

That's a very nice install.

Nice...

Mmm Audison

Kick panels are the best spot for tweets. Minimal Path difference = Better stereo imaging

What would deadening cost to do two doors and parcel shelf? And whats the preference?

Depends how far you want to go, you can diy for around $100 with good results. Or you can spend around $200 if you want to do the trim, and both layers of the door (inside of outer and outside of inner.)

Then a few bucks on some acoustic tiles to place behind the driver to minimise reflections

Alternatively, u can use flashtac and do it on the cheap. With lower results.
