View Full Version : badluck comes in threes!
hey guys,
yesterday was not a good day for myself and my magna...
1st problem - one of my mags (the TN Elite 'atomic' ones) has a hole in it that's letting out the air  (according to bridgestone - as one of my brand new tyres went flat)
2nd problem - my pioneer HU is really slow to eject cds - like you press eject - it makes noises but doesn't come out all the way - maybe just enough to grab it and pull it out - the HU is under a year old
3rd problem - i had an accident - not major, just a mangled front bumper and smashed headlights - the other vechicle was a petrol tanker... he had solid steel behind - so there was no damage to it except mine
so anyways, any opinions/experiences about the HU? it's really fustrating (i really found it fustrating yesterday just after i was late for tafe putting on the spare tyre, etc)

sounds like the air problem is affecting the head unit
seriously, if it is a flip down face you shouldnt get this problem as its normally caused by dust if its the one where you simply slide the cd in at the fron then blow any excess dust off and take it back to dealer under warenty as you might get a new one if they cant fix it and we all want new stuff
good luck

A hole eh? And it's letting out air? Incredible! Lucky bridgestone was around, you never would of worked THAT one out :bowrofl:
Sorry to hear about your mishaps, by the way, hu's I find don't tend to like accidents.. maybe yours has been mangled from the bump.

sometimes greese can get stuck on cds and it will attach itself onto the rollers that eject the cd's. I have a flip down HU also, and some CD's seem to do that also. I press eject and the cd only comes out by about a 1cm. Normally its half the cd that sticks out. Not all cd's do it though, so im not sure nor too worried.
i have a phobia of petrol tankers.. not just regular steer clear... as in.. i would prolly turn off the road if one was there :(
seen too many movies i think

RUBBISH, don't let them tell ya that.
100:1 its the tyre shop's fault - they didn't mount your new tubeless tyres properly. The seal between tyre and rim isn't 100% or bad valve stem. Get them to remount!!
Leaks in wheels do happen but they are very rare. Usually only occurs if you've had your wheel repaired physically, then hairline leaks can appear. These leaks can be fixed by either using one of those 'aerosol' type puncture repair cans (seal the leak) or taking the tyre off and putting a tube in.
