I guess you'd have to get the internals from an elec window door, and then you'd need the door trims.

Then the wiring?

well we have to replace the mechanism on our drivers side (tr) door because its very slow and the WRECKERS quoted $190 for the genuine mechanism second hand.. not to mention the other bits like the switches etc and wiring (which isnt really a problem you could wire it up yourself as long as you got the switches etc) - plus dont forget then you need new door trims too.. all up = very expensive excercise to do it properly.

I have seen some after market kits but the ones that i have seen are generally speaking pretty dodgy at best and usually better to steer clear.
probably the most economical way to do it would be buy a $3000 se TR, ad swap the windows out and sell the car again

Not as crazy as it seems..you could easily scoop up a TR se with power windows for around that money...swap the windows and sell it for 500 bucks less than what you got it for! So the transfer costs you 500 bucks.

You could even *gasp* make money by trying a higher price? ;) Worth a shot

I replaced the ones in my TN... with elite ones.
I made the mistake of unraveling the WHOLE doner HARNESS prior to know what I needed...
You will need trims, switches, motors and assembles... (be careful as I had tinted windows and wanted to keep my glass... prob is that the bracket that the electric windows bolt to that pushes on F'in tight to the bottom of the glass, is different between electric and manual winders.... I ended up cutting the manual ones off with grinder... and then prying them off the electric ones.. and them jammend them on real tight :D )
wiring harness and plugs.. there is a main fuse holder under the bonnet that you pic up +/- power and it runs through a relay and a fuse..
I also tried to set up the central locking but never finished the wiring...
From Mem there is about 10 wires that goto the Drivers control pad...
I think only 2 or 3 goto each of the other 3 doors... and 1 or 2 of them are comon for all the doors.. ther is in the harness a few earth points that are under the carpet and around the B pillars...
In all honesty you may be better off running your own wires but using the origional plugs.
I used the origional harness and pulled it apart and used just the wires I wanted... I had to un-wrap about 4m of cables and I had stuff going EVERYWERE!!!
I would suggest only a person with Some electrical knowledge try it..
I got my parts from a rolled elite that had a stuffed motor... so it was very cheap.

I love electric windows but :)

PS If you Do do it... heres a tip... try and get the power from a constant source.. not switched... (still use relay and fuse) this way you can wind up the windows when the car is turned off :D (mind you maybe it is a security feature to stop people from pushing on the buttons some how and allowing your windows to open :)

Don't Jaycar sell a power window kit reasonably cheap. Get this and hook it up to the standard power window buttons (from a wrecker), may be cheaper.

Something I'm considering at the moment aswell.

ya cant mount the buttons in the non-power windows versions without hacking away the plastic stuff - and the window winder thing would have to be chopped off or soemthing - not a very professional / nice look methinks - probably better to just put up with the window winders!!
