a series of events started on Thursday, I dropped my car off to get the fuel line recall checked out. I also had them look at the cvs and a swooshing sound coming from the back which I knew was in need of the revised hand brake but i played dumb.
I dropped it of Thursday morning to pick up Friday as I work nights, got up early Friday and hadn't heard from them so I called them. Fuel line was fine, hand brake was done and parts for the cv was on its way from the warehouse so I had to get there Saturday morning and find a way to work Friday night.
Get out there Saturday and they hadn't done the hand brake, apparently it will take 2-3 weeks to get the revised hand brake in from over east and the guy didn't even know about the cv. First he said it was the boot, then i questioned the noise, then he said, oh it was the unit, then he said on one side but couldn't tell me which side.
I took my car and was on my way, not exactly satisfied just happy to have my ride back. I noticed later that day in the car park a metal on metal rubbing sound, not sure what it is but never heard anything that bad on my car ever.
Any ideas of what it is?
Should I stop driving my car until it is sorted?
And on top of this I have to call em back to look at this -and- take it back again to get the hand brake replaced. Like I have plenty of time in my day and time to kill... :flame:
they probably adjusted the handbrake when they told you all was done even though you are now waiting for parts, the handbrake is probably overtight

Sorry, the noise is coming from the front drivers side wheel
Sorry, the noise is coming from the front drivers side wheel
if they have had yor drive shaft out it could be a number of things, sometimes at work when people do cv boots they accidently push the abs sensor into the hub to far and squash it, it causes some grinding noises, but the magna may be different?

If they'v been playing with your cv's theres a chance that they may of bent the tin guard that sits right behind the disk into your disk and thats the rubbing sound

Gave my car a quick clean today and realised that when they had taken the mg off they had laid it down face first and scratched 6 out of 10 spokes...
So yet another trip to do on my day off work. It is ok though, didn't question me or anything, checked it out and they are gonig to fix it :) They will call me back in the next few days and will book it in to get done and i'll get a loan car at the same time. They will also put the new hand brake in at the same time.
It will be off road for 2-3 days but atleast it is going to get fixed.

Man, I was pissed off about the start and then cooled down, **** happens. When I found the damage on my mags if they weren't going to do something to satisfy me on that one me, I am normally mild mannered but I was going to let them have it.
I'm just got this thought in the back of my head hoping they don't **** it up and the paint matches etc

She is going in on the 2nd of May to get the rim repaired and the hand brake on. I will get a loan car booked for the week as it may take 2 days or it may take a week...
Has anyone had or seen shadow chrome resprayed?
Or do you know if it will be easy to match/make look like new again?
I really can't be bothered putting up with a poor paint job... If they don't get this rite Mitsubishi will be seeing my car again to get it rite and then unless a recall or something they will never see it again.
