My Windscreen has 2 chips in it form what I can best work out to be impacts with stones. Both are pretty small the larger of the 2 is about 1.5cm in diameter and the second about 1cm, neither has cracked through the glass. Do I need to replace my windscreen or can things like this be fixed through some miracle I don’t know exists or understand. What options do I have and how much will they cost (I’m a uni student with no money)?

with similar glass......Problems include glass not matching
and area cracking during the process or at a later time,

also i got quoted $75 to fix each of my chips and by the time that you pay 150 when a new screen is 170 i'll go the new screen thanks

Okay I know you're short of money but do you realise just how cheap it actually is to replace a TH screen? Obrien's do it 'at your site', fitted, for $265 incl GST, there are a couple of places that are even cheaper - $220ish from Instant Windscreens for example. These are Sydney prices - possibly less in other states. At these sort of prices its really not worth trying to patch the things.

My dad and I were angle grinding near my car - and now my windscreen has scratches on it from the sparks - lots of them... they are not deep like i'd imagine these chips are - but can these scratches be fixed?

Sorry BCX7 but if youre screen is damaged from grinding sparks it is toast!!
The sparks actually melt into the glass rendering it irrepairable.

i think i payed around the $180 mark a couple of years ago for a new window
my old magna had a massive crack all the way through., i just let it get bigger HAHAHa

Irrepairable but not irreplaceable. A hammer could go a long way in helping too :bash: :bowrofl:
