Gday all

Just noticed that the steering on my TE is starting to 'creak' when accelerating and turning. Doesn't seem to do it if I just turn the wheel, but if I try to get round a corner from stop, it'll make a (fairly audible) creak or clunk. Kinda like a timber floor, just more....metal like.

Any ideas?

clunk could possibly be upper column knock on TE..(hard to tell without hearing it)
creak could mean the power steer system requires a modified hose to reduce pipe hammering.(also hard to tell without hearing it)
hope this helps....pm if more detals needed.

As meh said if u are turning and you hear the sound then its most likely your cv joints.
They also arent very expesive to replace as i got mine for $120.

Similar sort of a problem with friends TF,happend to be the drive shaft (left),reco change-over ($85) + 2 hrs. of elbow grease fixed it all up.
