350 seems a little high just to paint. You can order side skirts through ssv (www.ssv.com.au) and they are pretty good.

You can get the side skirts that are in the Talon body kit from the Spoiler shop in Perth for $450 and they are very sweet!!

The Spoiler Shop

FYI they quoted me on the Talon kit:
Front Skirt $370
Side Skirts $450
Rear Pods $240

They come Primed and ready to paint.

Not too bad job to DIY. Couple of 500 ml cans of primer and some 4* 350 ml cans of color - if u choose to use those kinda cans.
The door strips could be more laborsome, but the others come off easily. Including mudflaps.
Cost less than 100.

Ahh, happy BDay too! :)

Personally I think $350 sounds alright. As the door mouldings are plastic they tend to absorb the paint so they need a fair bit of prep work and a few coats. I got mine done yesterday and had three coats of paint put on. I suppose it's a case of 'you get what you pay for'. If you don't get it done properly the mouldings and skirts will look very dull in comparison with the rest of the car.

I'll post some pics of mine when I get home tonight. :D

The reason I made S/skirts for the Magna in the first place was that I'd bought a set of talon skirts to fit to my car but when I mounted them I noticed a difference from one side to the other. Upon closer inspection , stringline from front egde to rear and measuring the skirts where the doors closed I found there was 10mm diff from side to side plus other discrepancies

i was told something similar today.a panel beater said if the plastic parts on the doors and the lower skirt things have had armourall on them it tends to "seep" out even after it has been painted and preped.he woudnt give a warrenty on it if he painted it cos he said it might peel off due the that "seeping".

is this just a pile of **** of is this true?ohh and his quote was $450 and my cars is white(cheapest colour there is).it was at pickering street smash repairs.quite reputable

by the way man your car looks sweet

expensive mate..............spose it depends how well he knows his boss.

one of my mates is a spraypainter, awesome one at that. has done hot rods and other custom jobs for shows as well as his weekday job.

he colour-coded my side skirts, mirrors, door trims, de-badged,wash,buff an polish for $130 plus my car is sable and is a bit of a b*tch to match apparently. all professional job in the booth, non of this backyard stuff. WHAT A CHAMP!
