Here's the thing... 4 cylinder, auto trans, high hopes...
Pod filter and exhaust fitted by end of the week...
I've had the extractors quoted, and total cost, incl. fitting is $460.00
I've been told that with the 4cyl the performance gain is *thumbs-down*
Should I get the extractors fitted or save my dosh for something else...
** I decided against making this a poll, as I'm looking for more input than just a number...

yea the 4-cylinder's performance is pretty restricted. well if $460 is not too hard to come by for you, i reckon you should put on the extractors. as do all magnas, 6 cylinders included, there really isn't much modding you can do, sensibly at least. sure you can turbocharge/supercharge it, change to higher compression pistons, change the crankshaft, remap the ecu etc. all those are already serious mods that cost alot of money. and not many ppl out there are experts when it comes to modding magnas. in my opinion, once you put the extractors on, with the higher flow exhuast, muffler and pod filter, it's abt the end of the road for budget modifications. hope it helps.

Hey alf, dont shoot the boy before he is even started, sure they are the budget mods but come on, how many mods are cheap???
RPW will set you straight, and I fully agree you should be getting the extractors the pod and muffler as a set, if you got the money.
You do what you want to do to your car, dont let others tell you it's not worth it, it bloody is worth it, it is your car, you gotta drive it, make it as unique and great as you like, there are some fantastic looking TR's around, use them as the benchmark and go from there.
Take as much or as little time as you like too, it is your money and spend it however you like on your pride and joy.
Just cause your car aint brand new does'nt mean it aint worth doing up, and when people's are drooling over your beast, then hell yeah, the money spent is worth it. 8)

Correct Dude
I actually wanted to buy the "older" chassis style, when buying Mitsu last year, but my Mrs wanted the current version - you don't wanna mess with her... TR looks damn cool lowered, especially the black ones.
Let the guy mod as he pleases - go for it!
But don't do those under car neon lights........ please
Falcon? Commodore? What are they????? Ahhh, a bird and Navy rank - I see......

Extractors make a difference! I've got the V6 in my TS and it really free's up the revs high end.
Just make sure you get the oval pod off blake, cause nothing else works

I reckon u should have made somebody a widow.....
Well - there's always next time.
- "get a Holden" - BLAH!!!!
People who want other than power from their cars - like driveability and style, do NOT buy Holdens (except Vectra etc, which are Opels), they buy Magnas. Correct? ;)

most of 'holden's' good cars arent even theirs. corsa, astra and vectra are all engineered by either opel or vauxhall. the statesman was originally vauxhall but i don't know abt now. so the only cars holden can call their own are the commo's

Holden is a subsidiary of GME of america and most of there parts and designs come from there.

Holden hasnt been australian since the FJ
Holden australia ran out of money after the FX and GM bought them then.
So they've been US for a long time!
Mitsu and Ford are more australian than Holden!
