Just want to know how many have actaully had to get their water pump changed at the or around 100,000km Service?
I am going to be doing my timing belt etc on the weekend and will inspect the water pump in the process.
Thanks
John

I didn't change mine at either the 100 or 200K service. It's not leaking. (yet)

Might as well change all the belts as well, alt, a/c, power steering.
Cheers

I was told by the local Mitsi dealer that a good rule of thumb is that the waterpump should be changed every second timing belt change ie 200,000Ks.

Usually if it aint broke then don't fix but Magna's/Veradas have been known to **** water pumps so would recomend doing. As said, timing belt has to come off for pump change down the track if it ****s itself so for the sake of $100, get it done. Peace of mind.

For starters use the Bursons parts, I have for years.
Secondly, unless you have the belt tensioning tool DO NOT DO IT YOUR SELF as if you keep the old pump or install a new one it will end in tears. The 3rd gen are particular about belt tension.

I am an ex employee of bursons so all my parts are from there,
Do you by anychance have a diagram/pic of what the tool looks like?
Cheers
