I am running dual Magna Flow mufflers at the back and they aren't as noisey as they use to be. They have the same note and sound sweet but just not the volume anymore, like when I am sitting there idling I can't hear it as well anymore which i loved and when I accelerate its not as loud either but thats not as much of a concern of mine.

I'm guessing it is normal? Performance Mufflers will/can change the tone over time?

my lukey mellowed with time or your just getting used to it. The fibreglass/other packing material may settle/fill with soot.

Not basing my guestimation on anything scientific, I assume it is due to some carbon and other crap build-up in the inner surface of the can, which then acts as mild insulator.
Does the sound change after very long, hard drives - possibly getting cleaner again?

All mufflers will change tone over time due to soot heat pressure it all adds up over time a shifts the contents of you muffler around, its just general wear and tear, same is happening my genie.
