I have found that both my rear quarter windows are leaking, presumably from when the smash repairer removed the glass to repaint some panels some 3 years ago. I have removed the interior trim and found that the glass is just held in by 3 screws, however need to know exactly what/where to get that black sealant goop so I can fix it up myself (need something done right, do it yourself!).
Does anyone know what I need to buy and from where? I would like to avoid having to pay Windscreens O Brien or someone to do what looks like a very easy job.

Silicone sealant works fine, get it from hardware store in either clear or black.
Try find some "neutral cure" (non-acid) silicone if you can.

sikaflex is better than hardware store silicon. Thats what they use to hold the windscreen in on cars with a glued in screen. Any windscreen place should be able to sell you a cartridge. Expect to pay about $20 for a cartridge.
Also try a boat supply place. They will have a sikaflex for windows for sure. There are several different types for different applications.

Thanks guys I found some black Bostik "Auto windscreen silicon" at Bunnings; 2 tubes at $2.85 each was all I needed to fix both rear quarter windows so I'm stoked!

DO NOT USE SILICONE.........it is corrosive and the worst thing you can put on a car...........
