hey all
Im trying to remove my door trim to install speakers but can't get it off. I've already searched but can't find info. I got off the winder handle, all screws and plastic things that hold the bottom of door but it still seems to be held on somewhere around the front-top of trim. I've tryed pulling it up and out with the window up and with it down (if that makes any difference).
Cheers, any help appreciated.

Here's my post from a while ago, which Im surprised you didnt find in your search?
I'll just list everything that needs to be taken out, then you can just tick them off and see what you misssed ;)
2 screws in the side of the trim
3 screws where the air vent part is, the area that gets covered by dash
1 screw hidden behind the handle part of the arm rest (need to pop open the cap)
1 screw in the underside of the arm rest
Undo the retaining clip for the window winder *slide a rag behind it and work it back and forth till it comes out*
1 screw holding the inner door handle behind the little cover plate, there's a slot to put the screwdriver in, slowly work that out and then undo the screw. Push the handle to the back of the door and it'll come loose. You then undo the clip holding the handle cable in and slide it out.
Then you pull the bottom of the trim and the clips should all undo (4 in total I think), then you hold the door by the armrest handle and lift it up, I lift from the back of the door first, it's easier, just be careful not to crack the trim when taking it out under the mirror
:D Hope that helps! :D

I had the same problem and it was either a the piece of plastic trim that's near the mirror or that it just needed brute force  . Both I think cos I'm pretty sure that the trim needs to be removed.
Hope this helped

i had similer issues.. brute force was only option left to me.. so i payed some other poor sucker to install deck and splits for me instead..

That plastic bit, the inner part pops out. Then there's a few nuts inside it that you undo and you can take that off.

Yeh i didn't understand it
but i managed to get the trims off with abit of violence with a screwdriver :D. Found the clip, it's hiding underneath that washer thingy.

Yeah...thats why I said slide a rag underneath the handle, work it back and forward and it'll undo it...

I managed to find all the screws and unclip everything but i couldn't get the damn window handle off. I tryed seesawing a rag above and behind the rubber washer thingy and still i got nothing. I tryed, with a bit force, with a screwdriver and still nothing.
Am i missing something i haven't read in about 3 guides to doing this? :P

This is what i had trouble with at first, theres a metal clip thingy between the washer and the actual handle, keep digging with the screwdriver, you'll find it :P.

crikey!!!
everyone seems to be having so much trouble,,
mine were simple, got all the screws and clips off, and then just lifted it up, and the 4 clips on the inside window door part, just popped off and there you have it, didn't even need to take the plastic piece off by the mirror :P
the hard part was tryna get the damn things to clip back on :P
but i had plenty of practice so its easy now :)
just done my trims in blue suede,,,
looks great, will post a poll to see what everyone thinks.
