yer there is a company i know of that make LSDs for gen1s there highly favoured on this forum :bowrofl:

but does it really matter that u can only spin one wheel?? i always start off spinning both but after a few seconds the drivers side spins more depends what angle you on and so forth

ide weld it, its not worth paying for a torsion or clutch diff for a old car which isn't going to be used for rally or track use. 1st gens have good enough CV's to deal with a locked diff

welded diff.... is ok if u wanna die on the street! My 1 way lsd is bad enough in the wet, good luck trying to drive a street car with a welded diff. I had a mate with a welded diff in his VL, wrapped it around a pole after 3 days with it. Just unpracticle and dangerous

have you guys ever fishied a rwd car with a open diff and then a tight lsd? because a tight lsd is much more predictable and safe to do it with. why is a welded diff unsafe  they are just hard to turn in car parks thats all

yeh well a magna is a FWD so who gives a crap about fishing! Welded diffs are the most unsafe thing alive! and thats why they r illegal! Instead of trying to find cheap quick fixes do it properly if u really wanna get 2 wheels spinning

but its not worth the 1750 for a diff and then more for fitting and shimming of a lsd unless the car is used for competition.

yeah i dont think an LSD is worth looking into until u have alot of power getting to the wheels in the first place. be happy u can spin the one wheel.
