Just wondering if there is a certain type of cannon everyone is using. Do they all fit fine under a 96te bumper?

cannons are sh*t, but if you really need one it'll fit under your rear bar fine, just be careful when backing out of steep driveways lol

around 200 without fitting, prefer it to be cheaper but dont really want to compromise on quality too much

Not really sure what they are worth but idealy it would be 150

i agree cannons are gay..very loud and drony.far to ricey for a magna in my opinion.

just get a sports system with a straight thru muff, and a classy tip. i dont know what they cost for a magna but id 200 is a fair call.

but if you like a cannon, get one.. its your car, your look and hear it more than any1 else

Most of those are $250-ish from Phillcom plus fitting, or you could go the cheap route and get a basic Lukey for $180 fitted.

dont get a cannon ! a simple sports muffler will be loud enuf and will cost less money, cause you less hassles, isn't as ricey, and won't drone on the freeway.

thats just my opinion though, i picked up my muffler for $120 from some exhuast place about a year ago and it still sounds great !

its a supercat muffler, other mufflers iv heard of are redback mufflers, berkley mufflers, and the ever popular...but quiet lukey muffler.

its up to you, but have a good listen to both systems from inside and outside of the car and decide........like on a cruise or whateva lol

Why get a cannon? They're big and loud and sound....Great!
I never liked the idea of a cannon but the exhaust bloke assured me his were great.
So not only did I give in a buy one but I bought 2! Sound great nice burble at idle at a great scream at WOT. A little drony at 2500 but disappears at 2800. Certainly turns heads. With a lumpy cam should even sound better. Oh and very very very little back pressure noise. Here have a gander.

TH that sounds almost the same as my system on my TP cept mine has more of a pop sound to it when the boot is down, the only thing i dont like about my system is it sounds like your trying to drag somone even if your not :)

Dont bother with canons... I got myself a twin dual exhaust tip system with 2 straight through Berklee PEX mufflers and a muffled Berklee PEX resonator. Sounds very tough and doesn't drone as much.

Straight through muffler is around $100, and tip, well, depends what you want. Around $100 also i believe. That should sound nice. My flatmate got a new muffler and a new tip, and including install costed him around $330.

yeah same with my cannon, i rev 1st gear to like 2000rpm and it sound like i'm going, its also bad that i have no top end at the moment so reving it out is worthless

Cannons should me mounted rectally

magnat
19-04-2005, 01:14 PM
First comes the Cannon then the Huge Alloy Rear wing...
Cannons should be mounted Diagnally shooting towards the side of the car for true drifter look..
If you get upswept tips look out for carbon spraying all over the back of your car if you thrap it..

I may go Square tips or a 3.5 inch Dumper when I get around to getting mine done...

I love messing around with exhaust tips, every 6 months I would change it...

maybe not enough back preshure with the cannon then, see my sig for what system is on mine & it pulls all the way to 5k rpm (not going further untill new chain kit go's on) i get a note change at 3k rpm but im certian thats the extractors starting to work as it was like that befor the cat back system went on, i run no middle resinator so its a tad louder than most lukey systems
