A quick question on how the air meter attaches to round piping???
I have a k & N oval filter, & I need the filter & air meter to be able to attach to some stainless piping that will in turn attach to the turbo.

For those with a CAI setup, how do you attach the meter.

I am guessing an adapter is needed however where can I get one.

Cheers

A engineering shop will be able to make one for you, or you could even get a exhaust shop which does stainless to do it. I dont think a off the shelf piece will be available though i could be wrong

I was acutally supplied a silicon reducer tube. Sorry im not sure of the exact name or size (will measure when I get home). Works a treat as its flexible and can be used on round (CAI) and oval (MAS sensor) pipes.

This was supplied with the genuine K&N CAI Kit.

try, if only for reasurance, to put the AFM in the middle of the pipe from the turbo to the pod. lets the airflow sort itself out a little before entering the meter

i used a 4" to 3" rubber reducer. The 4" end fits the air meter. it is a little large , but the steel clamp closes it up when tightened. I would assume the correct diameter (for a circle) to be used is about 3 3/4".

browse these guys catalogue - they have lot of good random intake bits:

explain to me then why the gen 3's have the odd problem with pods then, as i said its a precaution if not anything else
