I've noticed some tr/ts's going round with shadow style headlights (like on nicem8's wagon) I was wondering if these were aftermarket mods or if some models came out with them. If they are aftermarket mods how much would they cost and where could you get them from?

if your talking about the Verada Parabolic headlights they are about 400 bucks or more for a set

I don't know if this is relevant, but i know when i used to build model cars, you could buy tint paint, and it just sprayed on the plastic or glass. It was really smooth and gave a really nice tinted look, never tried it on cars though.
Just food for thought

Have tried Tamiya PS31 Smoke for polycarbonate.
Looks good on a show car, but it don't survive outdoors too long.
UV from the halogen bulb also degrades it faster when lights are used.
Looks real crap when it starts wearing out & patchy.

I think these are the type that i'm after thanks for that do you know how much they would be at a wreaker's?
Did they come out on all of the Veradas?
I also noticed this ad for making normal headlights into angel-eye style ones while I was on e-bay.

Only the KS Verada's had them.
Last I heard that is 2 years ago was that wreckers were selling them for $200 a piece

i would really like to know of these wreckers, i have not found any that have then at the moment. 200 is better than the 360 or somthing that ozeparts is asking for them new.

Yea i paid $400 for mine about a year ago. Someone on AM was selling em. Its rare to find in wreckers, i tried calling around in Melbourne, i just got them laughing at me. Pretty rare to find..
yea 360 each from oze parts is ridiculous.. But keep checkin with wreckers, you might be lucky
Definately worth the money. :D

And yes, Angel Eye's a completely different thing. For those who don't know, it is those lighted rings that go around the 'round' head lights on the newer Beemer's.

Thanks for that. $360 each? It's daylight robbery, but i may get them any way. I just thought that the angel eye things on e-bay sounded alright. The parabolics(not shadow, sorry, my bad :shifty: ) would look sick with them added. :2cool:

Diamante ones are also that style, but smaller, you need to get both the lights and the grill apparently (the grill goes all the way around the lights).
Apparently you can get the full set for about $400.

Yeah if you can find it that'd be great. :bouncin: Also I've seen some verada's in car lots that don't seem to have the parabolics, so either they've taken them off or they didn't all come out with them.
By the way I just added the angel eyes stuff cos it looked interesting

There were two slightly different variants of the Verada range in the 2nd gen shape, they are the KR and KS. Only the KS did they start using multi-parabolic head lights.

For anyone interested in DIY Angel Eyes, check out this site http://www.geocities.com/jvxdriver/eagle_eyes.htm
I was going to have a go cos it looks pretty easy, and i think it looks really good, but i don't want to stuff up my parabolics.

yeah that looks sick but slightly illegal. :)
As I can't afford to have a show and street car I'llhave to settle for legal mods.
Or mods that look legal

Dude what happened to the door handles?? I've never noticed it missing before
oops!! they fell off one day when i was in paint!! posted the what if photo instead of the real one!! and legality is crap, if i had no door handles i would still drive it as much as possible!! p.s. knowing a mech. who can clear defects is handy as well!!)
tommo

Yeah I think that the lack of door handles you could poss get away with, but the blacked-out headlights :doubt: . Pushing It.
Also thanks for that info on the angel eye's that's heaps cool. When I get some parabolics I'll put them on. SWEET!
