My god is the wiring for this a horrible horrible job. Don't be fooled, it may look like just a few wires but believe me there is a lot more too it *cringes at the throught of it*

Worth every bit of effort at the end though

it cannot be that hard, i could rewires the headlights all together including switches and relays, what was the hassel when changing over?

Yeah, if i had the money i'd get the lights, but you could amost get a unichip or emanage for similar Dollars $$$$$$ comes down to what you want when you want it, i want both, but would prefer engine mods before cosmetic (Within reason)

You won't scare me out of doing it. I will do it one day. Do all parabolics look the same or is there there a second or third style kicking around?

AFAIK... There are 2 styles....
KE-KH... 2 piece, Glass cover on the headlamp..
TJ Sports.... 1 piece, polomar cover. and level bubble. (This is the one I have)
Haydn

The problem with the install is that the parabola lights have 2 x single bulbs..
inside and outside.. inside - High beam... out side - Low beam...
The stock wiring only allows either inside or out side lights on at a time..
what you have to do is add another earth lead to the lights and then use one of the switching wires... The aim to have on low beam - the outside on... and on High beam - both inside and outside.

Thought so. Which looks better?

Honestly... from a distance they look the same..
Maybe the colour of the indicator is a little different.
I like the fact that mine has a level to align them and that they are plastic lens.
I own both and I the other thing would be the weight.. the 1 piece are about 300-500g lighter.

I have a TJ series II vrx.. with those parabola lights. How poweful a bulb can I put in without melting the housing? :D

Standard bulb is all you can use. We have had a few come with the housing melted so don't go over standard

Wiring up took me only 5 mins to do, I just cut the wire directly across from the power and wired it straight to the earth points on the body. The high beam wire just sits there in its connector and minds its own business.

i got my kh brand new parabolics from mitsubishi for 900 the set
1300 for the single piece tj items

wiring them up is easy actually
you just need to swap the top wire with the left one when looking at the plug like this from memory.... i can double check my wiring to let you know. (cant remember exactly how to do it at the moment... was 7 months ago)
