View Full Version : Warped disks Shuddering when hauling up
im starting to get the brake shudder again.. and there is no way in hell that i am gonna get these pads machined again, they are warped to buggery too.. different sized grooves all over them
I think its time to step up to slotted disks and new pads, the Ferodo ones have been fantastic haul up fast dont squeel hardly at all either.
Probably go got DBA slotted can get them for $110 each locally not sure if i should try green stuff or if i should stick to the Ferodo Pads.
What do you guys think?

Per a recent thread, you will find EBC and DBA do not work together....
I got DBA slotted all round with bendix performax all round, not a single problem at all and I have given them some pretty serious torture from time to time. Fantastic. :P

All up, for four discs and four sets of pads it was around $650 from discpads.com. My advice would be to give them a call as their postage calculator online is a bit screwey and they can work out a lot cheaper postage if you talk to them. ;)

Sorry, $110 per rotor plus postage from the above place.

ahh ok..
Im going on what a few guys i know have.. they have dba + green stuff and it works a treat..
But then again, bendix performance are also a choice combo.. i had them on my vrx (with stock rotors) and they were awsome..
Magna brake discs suck ass. I've noticed a hell of a lot of magnas driving around with squeaky brakes, including me. They're so pissy small, the second they get used, they warp. I get shuddering when I try and brake at 120+...but besides that, its just really squeaky. Bendix pads are great
no offence guys but i wont touch bendex, looks like ill just buy some new ferodo's and get the discs :)

EDIT: I should say that ferodo are a pretty cheap pad and generally have a low temp rating which means you will be getting a lot more heat staying in your rotor which is the cause of warping.
