Meh. I've stopped buying their printed catalogues years ago when they had the website up. NIce and easy to search for stuff on the web (Well realistically their e-store is crap).


Havn't been impressed in what they are trying to do, bringing in more small whitegoods to extend the market. I may end up shopping only at Wagner and Farnell now.

I entitled myself to 4 (maybe 5?) free catalogs the other day there. So I got one. :D It's a good read actually!!! lol Any more jaycar questions peeps?

They sound ok but if your serious you'd want to replace the woofer in them with something decent.. only 15" we do is 4ohm so you'd wanna look around or go for the 12" model CS-2512 which is also pretty good.

Catalogue states 120WRMS but I haven't had the chance to push them along yet.. they should take more with no worries tho..

I work at Jaycar in the city store so if you have any Q's i would be happy to answer them :)

There is lots of good stuff in there but remember it is still budget quality stuff.

While we too sell Jaycar equipment here, I suspect you won't be seeing too much Jaycar stuff in the CAASQ winning vehicles. ;)

Im waiting for their new Kevlar speaker range!! Their old ones were pretty awesome, so cant wait for the new ones! Rang the wholesaler (Electus) today who we get our stuff through and he reakons all the amps and speakers are about a month and a half away.
Gonna buy a couple of their old amps as they are going out at ridiculous prices so I cant go wrong!

My car was all jaycar stuff and while it was only entry level, it was really good. Obviously more expensive stuff shat on it..but for what I wanted, decent system on a tight tight budget, it was great.

They are underestimated

I have a Jaycar 2x150WRMS amp in my car. Goes alright but does shyt itself when I really make it push the Boston hard and usually just ends up sending a clipped signal ( why my sub died :cry: ).

Hmmm 800WRMS mono block for $400, would rather spend an extra $130 odd and get the Audison SRx2s. Im sure the jaycar will have a damping factor of around 100 ( mine is 136 for a sterio amp ) for a 4 ohm load but loading it right down will mean that in a 1ohm load it may be only 40 or so. The Audison will stay 600+WRMS into a 4ohm load ( perfect for a SVC 4 ohm or DVC 2 ohm ) with more the 150 in damping.

For cheap power you would be better off with a US technologies or Caliber 2000d to run your power. :badgrin:
