ok on my TN magna elante i was wondering how i can install a leather gear boot.... the stock gear boot fits in from the bottom so im not sure how to make a new one fit

i got a TP 5 speed. i think its the same

all u do is pull the console around it out. and the whole lot slides forward and up off the stick. the one thats there just pushes onto little plugs under the console.

TIP: take the change drawer out 1st. open the door and pull the gear boot towards the back of the car and lift the drawer out.

Actually if u take the change drawer out u might have to room to change it with out removing the console

If i had seen this post earlier i could have taken pics. i had mine out this morning for the mechanic to fix the gear stick bushes.

if u have ne trouble let me know and i'll take some pics, its only a 5min job to take it out and put it back.

adding a new gear is a quick and effective way to make your car look 3llite. i did mine on my TR was pretty hard cause of the way it mouted but hopefully the first gen is alot easier
