he mod his headlight and fitted an audi TT projector into a 3rd gen parras, i think Kim only talks about HID retrofit? you can get H4 kit, it's available at almost every performance shop, i think it's called Aura HID kit or something and available from 4000K to 12000K.

He goes into detail about HID's themselves though...if I remember rightly it ended up that it wasnt worth it.

Plus HID kits aren't legal as far as I knew...

guy on here "Jackson" had a set on his Elite, looked good. But he had stock TR headlights, so it looked nice and hyper white/blue, but would look even better if he had parabolics i recon..

Yea, they are illegal, unless fitted and authorised by a complient fitter

i remembered reading his posts, the lens alone cost around $1000 mark a pair, plus HID component itself, bulb, ballast, etc with the total cost of $2000 - $2500  but his light is fully engineered and legal. getting a HID retrofit is probably illegal, but as long as they're aligned properly, not overly blue(8000K and above) and doesn't blind oncoming traffic you shouldn't get into trouble.

I have found an HID kit for around $500... just looking into weather it is worth it (its cheaper than other kits I have seen).

Have found a few posts by heathyoung - I'll check them out later. Looks like it might be more trouble that it is worth getting a cheaper HID kit... although Jackson seems happy with his. Maybe 2nd gens are different to 3rd gens as far as how well the kits work?
