also any good mounting spots for 6x9 speakers some where..Ive put two in the rear (S/Wagon)
any good place for the front..the window regulator seems to stop any going in the front dors unless I use spacers or a box....Im I missing something totaly obvious

The front dash speakers are not terribly hard to get to. Put your hand up behind the dash and find the butterfly nut, undo this and carefully pry top panel of the dash out (the plastic bit closest the window).
Then the speakers are either side.
There are 2 options for speakers. Go to Mitsubishi and buy Elite ones (higher wattage than standard, sound pretty good) or put 4" in the doors if you aren't wanting to use spacers.
Frankly, I wouldnt put 6x9s in the front doors that would look

To get to the speakers, you need to remove the glovebox. There is a metal strip called a defroster garnish, it is held in place 1 wing nut & 3 clips the wing nut is in near the glovebox a clip on each end & 1 in the middle. Once you get the wing nut off , you can prise that cover off, the speakers are under this cover Hope this helps Cheers ian

pm MAGNA-TM-SE I was over there when we worked on his front speakers, we had a pretty good technique for getting them out and placing deeper speakers back in there! :D

Success!!!! :D ..speakers are out!....where to get better speakers that will fit...Zupps (Mitsubishi dealer)..or cheaper auto spares...maybe maybe...if I can get a good pair of 4" speakers, would double sided tape be enough to hold it in....or do I really need the factory ones
..or has any one got a pair they would like to sell
i couldn't find speakers easy - so i ended up putting in the doors
I cheated. Both mine are running Elite speakers in the dash... (One's an Elite, the other one's a bastardisation of an Executive and Elite). Though I'm investigating speakers in the doors.

Speakers in the doors are not too bad to do. You do need to cut both the door and trim though. Mine are near the front of the door as thats where the most space is but I find that the grilles keep falling off from idiots kicking them by accident.

my TM dash is different than discribed here, but ive got the panel off to reach the dash speakers, problem now is that the replacements are abit bigger than the factory ones, and i need to just make a flat bass where it rests on the air duct.
is there an easy way to move the dash so i can reach the place to make it flat, or does it require me totally pulling the dash apart?

You can get splits as I have done ... put the 6 inch in the door and the tweaters where the stock speakers where.

I dont know about the TP but if its anything like my TR (little gay @$$ speakers) after removing the old ones there was a plastic "resoviour" thing between the speaker and the air con vent and using a soldering iron i just cut it off and BONZA you can get some in, I've got some 90W Kenwood's in and they get the job done. Although 6" in the doors would be nice but you gotta get rid of those map pocket things or squish them between.
Hope that helps

speakers in the doors are no sweat to install, none at all, use the current hole in the door that is used for the power mirrors (if installed) for the wiring then all you have to do is remove the door trim and mount the 6" in the front of the door (nearest to the hinge) , its a big rectangle, just as low as possible to avoid the door hinge.
once its in its simple enought to wire the speakers.
Hope i helped :)
