Just wanted to thank FHRX, s_tim_ulate and Damien(Bendigo Auto Sound) and well can't remember other names but prob includes most of you.......for all the advice, tips, guides etc you've given me over past few weeks.

SYSTEM IS FINALLY DONE(for now hehe)

Installed the Head unit last weekend, running a Clarion (Pro Audio??) DXZ935MP which gives the signals to the two amps, Alpine V12 MRV-F302 which is giving a sweet 120wrms of crystal clean power to the Vibe SA-K60's (thanks heaps Marty) and a MRV-1005 which is giving a modest but plentiful 150wrms to each voice coil on a Type R Alpine 12" which is mounted in a Beva 12" prefab box. And it sounds f*****g awesome..........Im one happy boy. :D

Had a set of wood mounting plates made up to replace the stock plastic ones in the front doors, front doors have been sound deadened using a mixture of spray-on stuff and a Dynomat Ultimate Speaker kit. Tweeters have been flush mounted about 6-8 inches above the woofer, looks standard which is what I was chasing.

Have used all jaycar (Amp King) cables, fuses/holders dist block etc. Must say Im quite impressed. Jaycar foam accoustic tiles are sitting behind the 6" woofers (thanks tim).
Mounted the amps either side near the tail lights but on the sides of the boot, looks neat and stylish yet doesnt yell for attention. All up install took me about 4 hrs, including running all the pwr cables RCA's mounting the amps etc.

Overall I am amazed!! This is one sweet sounding system for the money invested. Will post some pics when I can take em, atm Im cruising round enjoying it all too much.

Next plan is to sound deaden the boot/back shelf. Adding a mongoose Alarm upgrade system, and add something for rear fill, have been offered a set of R type co-ax's very very cheap, they should do the job running off the deck.

Once again thanks all.
Hopefully Ill be able to attend the next AMC Vic cruise and meet some of ya's.

Cheers
Luke

Yeah definately, Im stoked with it.

Just a tip for people new to this stuff too, helps to appreciate it when you install the gear yourself too. Sense of satisfaction.

That is what I like to see; someone building their system carefully and reaping the rewards of quality sound! Well done, when you coming down to give us a listen dude? :D

Of course I don't recommend people install their own systems because that would put me out of business! lollol

Seriously, my advice to everyone is to have a shot at installing their systems themselves. Clowns like me are always here to assist if anything goes pear shaped during the install.:)

Prob be Sydney way come August.

Yeah my local shop, can't give them enuff credit, any help I needed/work done they were more than happy to assist where I wanted em to and still leave me to do what I could. Oh and correct me/give suggestions when needed too....
