I need to relocate this to facilitate the installation of something into my glove box, i notice if i pop off the plastic surround that there are two cut outs were the closure locking mechanism could be located in the current position and one slightly to the left.

This is fine and I can move this all over easily enough but the problem is with the handle/lock, as they can't be moved how can i hook them up so that they still operate the closure mechanism once it's been moved or is there an alternate part that you can buy from MMAL?

Hopefully someone can shed some light on how I might be able to still have the handle & lock operate the mechanism in it's new position...

Sorry dude, I just had a look in the MMAL manual but it didn't help. You may have to cut the lid and get an extension made up that move the hook grasp section along to meet up with the "D" latch. See if you can pull the latch apart and isolate the locking hook and get one made to fit.
