Subs are http://www.gayem.com/TS-W1201C.htm
amp choices are either
http://www.pioneeraus.com.au/car_en...510m/index.html
or
http://www.crossfirecaraudio.com/frameset.asp ... it's the VR1000d amp
i have 2 subs and was wondering what amp would drive them the best

wats ya pick the subs up at
For raw power I would suggest the Crossfire over the Pioneer. We have sold many of each and while the Pioneer is well built, the Crossfire seems to push more grunt. :)
...and make sure you guys buy it off us too...:D

i can get the crossfire amp through work cheap but everything else in the car is pioneer , just wondered if it was worth keeping it all the same

nah no benefit in keeping everything the same. Except for bling appeal. And I gotta say the crossfires have more bling appeal anyway.
They make some awesome amps... Soo small and soo much power.
Like Tim has already eluded too, do you buy a Mitsubishi Magna and then buy Mitsubishi gauges, thermo fan and blower? Or for your car do you buy a Auto Meter gauges, Davis Craig thermo fan and B&M blower?
Get the hint?. :D

i was just reading up on the crossfire amp and it states an extra battery should be installed per d class amp or void warranty ... where the pioneer d class amps dont need it ... and i can get 2 pioneer amps for the price of a single crossfire ... but crossfire seems more appealing to me for the shear power of the amp ... and size

id definitely go crossfire...when i got my audio i had a few problems with the pioneer amps...the dealer installed 2 amps and they both didnt power the subs to any overwhelming extent...he ended up puttin in a clarion amp but now i want something with more power very soon(still goes half hard). go crossfire for sure way more power!

Is there a budget dude? Umm you do realise those Pioneer subs are a discontinued line? How much are you looking to spend all up for what result? :)

not really set on a budget so it does'nt really matter ... i know the subs are discontinued but i got them off another amc member at a decent price ... from what i hear these subs are supposed to be pretty good

Well Im running a type Alpine R 12" and to be totally honest I'm quite dissapointed in the sound/spl that this unit can do.
I think the old S series 12" I had went harder.
