HyperTF...Any Modification to your Intake system if not fully engineered and Approved can be defected in NSW..
Why do you think Panel Filters are gaining popularity cause when it comes to " Random Vehicle Inspections" Everything appears stock..
The main reason why they are illegal is excessive induction noise and Fire Risk..
If yours is in an Air box and is sheltered from engine heat you may be OK.
But just shoving an Exposed Pod filter in the engine bay is just asking for trouble..
Most POD filters State for Off Road use Only..

That's ok i am in WA :D
I think that in WA they are illegal on V6's and V8's :doubt: Damn shame i have a V8 hahaha just kidding V6...
I will be hiding mine down like TH smokers so that no one can see it that way it can't be a fire hazard but hopefully it is going to make some sort of exessive noise :D
I have checked out the Pod filter and i can get one for about $150 so i think that i am going to buy one soon and get mine hooked up to some sort or stainless steel piping and have it like TH Smokers...

I guess the case is probably the same here in Vic magnat... it sux though.. if you do a sensible job of housing and securing I reckon it should be acceptable... As I have said before, years ago a lot of people had open filters in their engine bays and it was just fine... I think they should be chasing the clapped out smoke belching cars before they start getting picky about some enhancement mods like pods... but that's another story!
Which reminds me... I have to make a box for mine as I want it back on!!!! :cry:

Just cause it is legal in All 50 States of the good old US of A don't mean it meets the ADR.
Thats why they are illegal they do not make the ADR
ADR= Australian Design Rules
