I've now done 200 of my 1000 km's of running in the new engine. The highest i've reved so far is 3,800 RPM up hill in 1st gear and i haven't gone past half throttle. I'll increase throttle and revs 2wards 700-800 kms.
Last night was on my way to pick up a friend of mine, and every1 wanted a race!
*Earlt 90's prelude with a sick dump pipe, P plates and cut springs (OH MY GOD!)
*S14 200 SX
*Another magna, shitty looking white TR with 15 alloys on (yeah they were looking)
And here i am crusing along at ½ throttle looking like a proper grandpa :( Give me a week or 2 and i'll start posting who i beat and wot i ran last night.

Why did you get a new engine anyway?
And how much did you pay (how many k's did it do) -- I'm looking to upgrade the 4cyl. to a TS V6 when it hits 250000k (currently at 201000)...

I got a new engine because the valve stems where gone and it was eating a fair bit of oil. Everytime i went to take off i'd piss grey smoke everywhere and it was starting to feel tired.
I got her up to 257,000km's and was still chopping commo's on the last day of it's life, even with a hole in the exhaust.
It cost me just over $3,500 fully installed. Now the engine that went in had all new internals, rods, springs, cams everything and the head and block were machined out to brand new so it is a brand new engine.
You may have trouble converting your car, i'm not sure of anyone that has done it, especially your car is set up as auto and i'm sure you want a manual. It took me almost 3 months to find this car because i was sorta picky-had to be a 3L manual no matter what!!!

I love thrashing and giving mine a hard time. But only in manual cars, auto's are no fun...

whatever you mean there dude!
Place called GEM engines in sydney do magna engines and have them in stock, also a mod in melbourne have them as well but i don't know their name.
Because i needed a new engine doesn't mean i thrashed it, with so many k's it sorta speaks for itself, but just for fun in the last week of the engine i was bouncing it off cut out a few times, just for shits and giggles :D

so u got a rebuilt motor, why didnt you just go for a twin turbo VR4 motor of the same era as your car
convert the box to 2wd and you would have had a mean magna.
catch up soon n e ways
