Firstly does anyone know how to make a custom fuel rail??

I have easy access to aluminium fuel rails, however they do not have injector holes etc.
The ends can be tapped to allow a 1/2 NPT fitting for your fuel lines but I am unsure on the methods for making the injector holes.

Does anyone know what is required to make a custom rail?

buy a pipe flaring tool kit, its a good place to start

this is what they look like.

I'm going to also have a fitting for a fuel pressure gauge to mount directly onto the rail.

just measure the hole in your standard fuel rail and use that measurement to make the holes in the alloy extrusion. you will most likely need to use a reamer to do it as a drill leaves a poor surface for the o rinf to seal on. if you are not using extrusion and are using alloy pipe you will need to weld bosses onto the pipe but it becomes tricky as they must all be square in all directions.

Hope this helps.

If it all works on mine fine then I could make some up easy.

The rail is really quite basic.

i not have a magna so not easy for you to make for me but its all good. A mate has a rail made of that extrusion and has a gauge and reg mounted on it...looks trick...ill see if i can find a pic.

How come you need custom fuel rails?

they look like they would be fairly hard to make

will these be more high flowing or just there for bling ?

Standard ones would flow plenty fine, its a V config remember and i bet the rails arnt half the size because they only feed 3cylinders

They would be for both a little bling & they are better flowing.

I am mainly makin a set to allow for a fuel pressure gauge to be mounted directly to the rail, as well as the ability to have larger injectors.

Also the fittings will be AN fittings.

The pipe & kink that connects both rails will also be removed & replaced with a larger hose.

They won't make a huge difference unless it is to be put in a car that has some serious mods.
& requires a good fuel supply.

But apparently they do make a difference. Plus it won't cost me much to make them.
