Hrmmmm...

As you all know we are having a very extreme bodykit made for the TE Magna's onwards. Well one option is to have the rear bar with two lips either side to accomode twim mufflers. Mine will be having two 4" cannons either side...

Anyway my problems is and i was wondering what others think, if i get my dual exhaust done i really have to watch my backpressure otherwise my 2.4 will drive like a slug. It is currently 2.5 inches mandrel bent and im thinking dropping it down to 2.25 inches to the cat and then branching it off into two seperate 2" pipes to the mufflers. The reason im dropping the pipe size down is to try and retain some backpressure as there will not no resonator and two straight through mufflers...

What are peoples thoughts, im not sure if im heading in the right direction

well if i was buying the body kit i would like the rear bar one of 2 ways.

either option A , not have anything have the bottom smooth for a hidden dump tip ( like my current setup ) personally it suites the magna that the exhaust is hidden and add's a sleeper effect.

Or option B have a rear bar like the BMW M3 7 series how it has the raised bit.

anyway there just the thoughts of a rambler :?

Widow would you belive its very simular to the design of the M series BMW's but with Mitsubishi Flare. However with a kit like this, the term sleeper is gone out the window.

hey blake,

i would go for the two lips - for a dual exhaust - i am looking at having dual 2" piping from cat back on my TH - dunno what tips i would be after though - but i am thinking dual twin tips = ie 4 pipes out of two mufflers

i seen a couple of magnas like this and i reckon it looks mad - but don't bother trying to accomodate this in the kit - if people have two lips then it would look funny with just a single exhaust - whereas you can heat bend it to accomodate the exhaust on the left hand side if need be. isn't too hard to do.

manual i agree, I was gonna go for dual tips either side but when you see the kit you'll understand why im going for the cannons.

As for the bodykit, It will come just like the normal rear bumper, there won't be any voids or lips for a muffler, if your muffler sticks through it you'll have to get it modified to fit, not expensive but we need to keep it so it suit everyone rather than a select group.

A mate of mine had a TH wagon..had a 4" cannon on each side...it looked FAT! Itd look sweet as with the rear bar cut out...i like the idea!
