hey guys... i got myself a vacuum control valve from the wreckers for $10. i know where all the lines go though im not 100% sure on where the one goes that connects into the intake manifold. could some please take a picture of where it goes?
if u dont know wat im talking about, the TM gearboxes have a 5th gear controlled by vacuum. as u look at ur gearbox from the front, right at the bottom of it there is a tank looking thing with 2 black hoses coming out of it. 1 goes up to the control valve (one on the left) and the one on the right goes up and around the back of the engine and connects into the back of the intake manifold.
this is where i need the picture taken to know exactly where it connets. please help, i want my 5th gear back lol

yucky
how the hell does that work, the shifter only has 4 gears + reverse, and 5th cuts in automatically?

wrong, you forgot limp mode, thats a gear on its own if you've ever been in it lol

5th gear on the TM is selected by a vacum servo, it moves the input shaft over and effectively makes another gear ratio. ill take a pic of mine 4 ya.

thats all i needed, none of the smartass comments
it looks like a screw in connection... is it? by that i mean u see how there is a nut looking thing right up close to the manifold? is that just a connection or is it actually part of the intake manifold mould?

i think its a connector with a thread drilled and tapped into the manifold.
