How do these sound? Im thinking of getting them also. Do they manke a big enough difference compared to the 3-way? Just curious coz of the price difference.

to tell the truth i could'nt really say ... i only have them hooked up to the stocko headunit ... dont get my good headunit in untill a coupla more weeks so they're pretty much just going to waste ... same as the pioneer splits in the front doors ... turn the stocko h/u up to about 25 and they start to distort ... but i put that down to the headunit ... not the speakers

They will be worse than you stocko speakers till you get a decent headunit for the simple reason that your stock head unit doesnt have the power to run them. General run is to get an after market headunit first then change the speakers

I think all sony 6x9's fit with no mods required. Any speaker will sound better running off an external amp, i amped my 6x9's and they sounded fantastic.... until I amped my splits instead and added a sub... then they went straight back to running off the deck.

5 way  2 of the ceramic super tweeters play >20KHz, i know heaps of songs that they would be handy :bowrofl: 4 way is overkill but 2 or 3 way will do the job like those nice boston or Hertz 6x9's :D
