Hi all,
Was wondering if it is better to get a screen that has a tv tuner inbuilt or get a screen and buy the tv turner seperatly????
what are the advantages and disadvantages of both??
thanks

Well, obviously if u get one with an inbuilt tv tuner, its less hassle having to buy a seperate tv tuner, and installing it. The bad part is that it costs a little more if you buy one with a TV tuner.
I reckon get a DVD/TV/tuner/satellite n stuff all in one. I know, very very expensive, but I hate having 4 different din sized machines each doing their own thing....looks cheap and messy lol just my opinion.

I agree with eek, get a all in one unit, they may cost a bit more but the quality is much better. You will find that even if you spend 5k on a all in one system the TV quality still aint that great, If you have seen the new Mit Pajero Exceed with all that in it you will know what i mean.
I would tend just to stick with a DVD deck with inbuild screen in it, cos that way you can still hook up a PS2 or xbox to it without to much other crap in the way. Also another advantage is that you get your sound directly from the dvd head unit. Some cheaper units you need to get a fm modulator, which basically means your listening to your sweet ass DVD in crappy FM sound. defently not worth it when you have just spent the big bucks on your screen and dvd.
My bet is to go for quality ie your pioneer or alpine type brands. You pay more, but you know its the best.
