Well boys and girls, I got my first performance mod fitted tonight - an EZ Boy throttle body. I've only had a chance to take it for a quick blat around the neighborhood so far, but initial impressions are very impressive. Initial response right off idle is awesome - I'd say the first 5mm of pedal movement gets the same response as 10-15mm did before. The car definitely felt stronger in the mid range too.
I'd like to thank EZ Boy for the high quality of the job, and also of his work in removing and refitting the throttle body. Truly a top bloke.

haha well it won't make your car a world-beater, but at $90 it's a good (and cheap) start. :)

Yeah i am not looking at keeping it too long so i dont want to really invest to much in it. But a couple of hundred here and will be ok.

If you do nothing else, get the tb and replace the rear muffler with a better one (Lukey if you're on a budget.)

basically, pedal goes down, open the throttle body to let air into engine, air + fual = bang makes car move

Simply put, it's the bit that a fuel injected car has that does the same job as the carby does on a carburetted car. That, and the fuel injectors.
