I want one :(
Mines sooo soft and squishy!!!!!!
there was a post in phillcom rally section a little while back,
for a daikan its round $600 or so, maybe a little bit more for a heavier duty one,
i got the daikan in and its coping with 215hp, will see how it goes with alot more power in 2 weeks though

Is the daikin a full faced clutch or the puck style?

I just got an Xtreme Heavy Duty Cushioned Ceramic put in mine.
Drives great. Pedal feel is great & not very heavy.
It grips quite quickly but still very very street.
Suitable for forced induction which is why I bought it
Cost me a little under a grand for the clutch.
Just make sure if you use a mechanic he knows what he is doing.

I'm in the process of trying to source a new clutch for mine... I have been quoted $560 for a standard clutch from BGT in Burwood and was also comtemplating the RPW clutch for $900... however most of the clutch places which i contacted for a heavy duty one have mentioned to me that the original is strong enough and there is no need for a heavy duty clutch, which i must say not many places have them or make them at all... If anyone have any suggestions on which way to go please let me know... thanx

It'll be fine, more than enough and wears out slower than any flashy race clutch, you might even save your gearbox too
Im using a XTREME Ceramic clutch aswell, very nice to use, holds my 200kw no problems

i got quoted for a semi ceramic rpw clutch (same as in the TT i think) for $1165
i also rang Xtreme and got quoted $917 for a heavy duty ceramic cushioned button type clutch
for $917 thats a pretty good price...wonder how much phill comm can get them for

I was under the impression that ceramic clutches are not very good for road use... and their life is lot shorter than standard clutches... has anybody with ceramic clutches experienced this before?.... by the way has anybody got the contact details for xtream.. i would like to talk to them too... thanx

If you want something slightly better than a stock unit without the desire to increase the power of your engine drematically you can get RPM upeated clutch kits for around $500 exl installation.
I have an upgraded RPM unit in mine, and it's still perfectlly smooth as the stock unit but with more bite and a quicker take-up point. :)

Thanx Phonic...
Do i need to contact RPW and ask them about it or is there another place where i can get this kit?... I haven't done much to my engine really just a redback exhaust and K&N panel but just wanted like you said, something a bit more stronger than standard...

Go for the RPW clutch... apparently this clutch is gentle on the gearbox yet being able to do quick launches with no hassles or damage... i just cant justify the $900 bucks myself.

I have the extreme ... its a gem. :) I don't think the daikin will hold though as its not all that much stronger than stock. When I took my stock clutch out it was in perfect condition, but just slipped like nothing else at 3500 and 7psi boost.

Dont know how much stock magna clutches are, but is a heavy duty really worth it? I know on my skyline I could get 2-3 stock clutches for the price of 1 high performance clutch, and the stock one protects the gearbox and LSD.
