Heyup,

Got some pics of how I went through the firewall and of how I mounted my sub in the boot. This applies to a 2nd gen TS, sedan, V6. Ways of going through the firewall for other models (4 cyl) may differ.

The sub bracket is fixed at both ends by a bolt that goes down through the two spare child restraint holes. These holes are covered up by two little dark greay/blue plastic caps near the rear brake lamp on the parcel shelf.

The blurry pics are meant to show where the power cable comes in from the other side (cabin) of the firewall. Stick your hand up and follow the pedals. You'll find it no problem.

Of course, removing this grommet from the engine side of the firewall will create a roughly 20c/50c hole in which a lot of light will come through. Can't miss it!

looks sweet!... only 1 thing though, that amp doesnt look as if its got much air flow to keep it cool...

yeh thats the way i went too, best to keep the wires outta the way of the drivers side in my opinion. Never know when they can drop down and get caught on something, highly unlikly but safer is better

I haven't had any problems yet, no cutouts or fuse blowing.

I can always open the split in the rear seat and get some airflow through if things get too hot.

mine are all wrapped in split loom and cable tied to buggery out of harm's way. I used teh factory wiring channels down the side of the car.

While on the subject of wiring and factory channels, I have the power and audio signal cables running down the same side, touching each other until the power cable and signal cables split under the rear passenger seat. Power cable continues down driver's side while signal cables go down the passenger side and around into the boot.

Naughty thing to do, however I'm not aware of any crosstalk between the cables.

speaker cables dont induce interference. RCA's are low level so are more susceptible. Just keep ur rca's running through 'clean' areas
