I have an '89 Magna, which has been through 3 radiators in the past 2 years - it also tends to overheat quickly on long trips - I've lived with that -- but now, I seem to have another problem -- When accelerating past 2000 revs, there seems to be some sort of loud, quick 'flick flick flick' noise coming from under the driverside dash. I've had a look around under the bonnet, but haven't been able to locate. It doesn't *feel* as if it is effecting the power of the car... so I'm really stumped.

Anyone have any ideas?

astron II's have an overheating problem in the magnas. best bet is to have the cooling system flushed right out, get an early open thermo and make the radiator side fan perma-on. (with igntion set to 'start' ofcourse :confused: )

this was a common problem with the heater we all found that when the dile was cold-mid it made a weird noise at certan revs i even felt it in the cluch its weird any who i dont think any ones fixed it but we found dont have the dile between |--!--!~----| (between !-!) its fine after 1/2 way or under that tho theres a thread floating around about it
