i have a 3.5 TH and one of my mates commented the other nite about the idle on it.

I had just dismissed it as normal, but is the clicky/tappy kinda noise normal for this motor???? And if so, what is it that causes it???

Other than this the car is great, goes well, so very responsive and sounds fantastic above 3000rpm. Just a shame it sound ****ty at idle.

Yeah i got the same from my friends about my idle and its basically, i think its caused by the injectors injecting and they are pretty loud cause the solenoid opens and closes making our idle a little noisey.

mine makes a loud ticking noise when the oil needs a change. After that its very quite that is the tappets. :doubt:
