Did the TR ever come out with a chrome grill? I saw one on ebay about 3 months ago, and since then i've seen heaps andheaps of TR's driving around with these chrome grills, anyone else noticed this? or am i just :nuts: ?

yea, the chrome surround was an elite and/or verada thing for the TR.. problem with em is that they look kinda similar to the standard grey one, so unless u really look, you wont notice its chrome, specially when dirty etc. which might be why your noticing them now.

Those Grils are on all elites and SE tr magnas.

Here are 2 Executive grilles, one is painted, the third is a SE/Elite grille. all are from TR.

i was just wondering what kind of paint you used to paint the white grille or did it come like that, because i have a white TR and i wanted to paint the grille to suit the car but i thought paint would peel off.

TR SE GRille

The TR Elite had the same grille as the XI Verada, no chrome on it at all. Only the SE had the chrome.

I use an acrylic paint because it's easy to work with. The paint will stay put reasonably well as long as you clean the surfaces on the grill properly. then use a undercoat for plastic and hardener in all coats(to resist stone chips)
