i just wanted to brag a bit and see if anyone has done better, last week my old tm came in to work for a head job, i timed myself and it took me 29mins from loosening the first bolt until the head was sitting on the floor, my previous record was 44mins but that was an injected tr, anyone faster???

i dont like to rush work on my car, leaves too much error for mistakes

36 minutes, injected TP.

Stripping a carby Civic, took 22 minutes to get it off.

I don't know about time to remove a head but i replaced a head gasket and had a machined head to go back on my TR. it took me 3.5hours from drive in to drive out. I wasn't rushing and that was without a cooling system pressure test.

Drive in-out was a tad over 6 hours, but that was also P/Ting to the wreckers to swap over heads under warranty (The second time it blew. It never killed the 3rd head...

2 mins.. KB u gunna have to teach me a few tricks.. I only get 1.5 mins thats the head and the full shamozil.. lol

It isnt a head job,and it isnt a Magna, but it took me a little under 45 mins to get the gearbox out of my 88 Lancer 5 spd. And that was wheels off, drive shafts out, and gearbox on the bench. Solo effort too.

I had plenty of practice. Plus I lifted the whole lot in one swift go, taking the manifolds off after, and putting them back on before replacing. Easier, but not easier, if you get the drift.
