View Full Version : Doe's anyone know what the power button doe's ???

Hi everyone I have a 94 ts magna and I'm wondering what the power button doe's.... There is two options:
(1) It doe's not work...:((
(2) It doe's not do anything...:((

Please do reply to this thread to let me know...

I think from memory, it allows the engine to rev higher before the next gear is engaged? But i may be wrong. Haven't driven 2nd gens too much.

Usually means it will hold gear an extra few hundred RPM before changing.. Nothing to get excited about. designed for more towing then performance.. lol

Overdrive mode sets up to a gear ratio of 0.xxx:1 (ie 4th speed), for cruising where you don't need the power.
Basically its a "virtual" high gear.

when the pwr light is on the Auto will kickdown with less throttle and will hold gears longer for any given throttle position/load compared to pwr off. It also increases the revs at which the auto will shift under full throttle.
I use the power button to stop the auto hunting between gears going up long climbs.

The O/D off button on the gearstick locks out 4th gear (overdrive) so the auto acts as a 3 speed.

yea like BRICK said, if you have the exec models it runs the SC, or if you have an elite or verada then it turns on the twin turbos.

the pwr button is fully sick :P
