I've just noticed that one of my clips on the air box has vanished - Oh well off to Mitsu to buy another one - Bah! Does anyone know if there are only the two at the top or are there also supposed to be clips underneath the box?

No only 2 at the top. Bottom just hooks into each other.

Last time I swapped my filter, one clip flew off and into the engine 'V'.
Took 30+ mins of swearing before I found it & extracted it out. :doubt:

Heaps of room compared to TN.

On 1st gen, fanbelt changing was a nightmare as the gap between
pulley & bay side is less than the width of the belt.

oh yeah, mega swearing for 2 hrs on that. :shock:

okay thanks - better check the 'V' on mine - maybe its in there!

I'm missing one of my clips too, I think I must have not have it in its holder properly when I checked the air filter... whereabouts does one get clips from? I've tried calling supercheap auto, motormate, repco, autopro, and sprint auto parts and they all say 'can't get the clip, but we can order in the whole filter box clips include for $expletive' - surely it can't be that hard to get a simple clip, I'd rather use some black electrical tape than pay that much for a clip!

I know I can go to u-pullit, but I'd rather not drive all the way down there just to pull a clip off the filterbox - it looks a bit silly! I could get some other parts when I'm there, but I don't need anything at the moment except for a steering rack, and some bushes which I'd rather get new (and cheap if anyone knows where i can get them from)! :) - or if someone has one in good condition?

You tried everywhere else and you didn't want to go that option. Looks like wreckers is the only option left... Unless you craft some yourself :D
