ditto, so much easyer to change gears now u dont have to reach the roof then tell the people the back seat to watch there heads
i was thinking about chopping my stick about 2inch...but then decided not to go ahead with it coz i thought it may make it uncomfatable to change gears? since you sit so high in a magna

Using search returns a number of threads with info on this... there was a recent DIY thread if you haven't already seen it. I know it is a different generation but might give you some ideas.

Yeah, I just pretty much look for anything now and I usually find what I am looking for... but sometimes it doesn't always give you all the answers you need... as long as you avoid ressurecting 2 year old threads lol

I cut my gear stick and its heaps better now, sure the hell beats reaching for the sky everytime u need to change gears.

hmm..
Now that you mention it, it is pretty high. I was just thinking of the idea so it looks good but i find my self pulling/pushing the boot instead of the knob.
I have been reading something about changing the pivot point to make the throw distance shorter would that be easy to do ?

no unless your good at welding
and i cbf with doing that i just wanted it to sit at a more comfortable level and ive got a new boot and knob so dont have to worry about it looking crap
I kept the same boot i just cut my stick down far enough that it sits flush, If i had enough time and cbf'd buying another stick i'd have a chop at it, get it.. chop, but yeah it'd be easier if RPW or someone like that made one, like they do for other gens, just buy theirs when it arrives take yours out and send it off. bastards.

dont just chop the stick down, it will make the shifter uncomfartable to change gears with, done it before, best of finding someone who can weld make up a higher bracket and then cut the top end of the stick and extend the bottom end, so much nicer

yer i found it ALOT more comfortable at a lower level then stock
and as ive said b4 RPW do propper shorten shifter
Quick Shifter $200.00 Reduces throw 50% forwards, backwards & sideways
but for $0 to chop it im quite happy with it
