thats why you always use a spanner either side of the join when working on pipe fittings :bowrofl: Now you have to go to the wreckers or a mitsu dealer and get another fuel line at least you will know how to fit it, if you have removed one from a wreck.

I did my fuel filter recently on my TF took about 15mins and not troubles at all very easy to do.

Though i cant recall if the pipe was slightly flexible or not, but it certainly was very easy to do.

Yeah the only fix is to get a new one or somhow seal it but thats more of a quick fix that wont last long.

Some fuel filters are put on rather tight. Yes you should have stopped when you realised the pipe was starting to bend.

We ended up taking our car to the mechanic because he had a rattle gun.

I think I will invest in a rattle gun.

You can do it yourself.. Only takes a few minutes.. Just dont bend any pipes. lol

i can tell you right now there is no possible way of using a rattle gun to undo the fuel filter pipe. best tool to use is a 14mm six sided pipe spanner. the nut can be very tight and hard to crack.

Heh, I think TecoDan meant rattle gun and visiting a mecho in general - not in this context.
Why do I say this? Last time he chaged the filter he was using chain saw, not a rattle gun.
