Hey Guys,
back from mid semester exam exile and ready for yet another project.
Somewhere along the lines i learnt that GPS was actually "free" in terms of using the satellites. Thus what you actually pay through out nose for is Mapping software. FANTASTIC.
So me being me..and my car being a Magna i decided to look into this sector of car ...."amusement".
PARTS
Yay for ebay! i got myself a (BT388) bluetooth GPS receiver for $200 (new chipset SiRF*3)
**Destinator 3 is on sale for like $230 AUD now, look around online. i also saw Destinator3 cds on ebay goin for about $180ish.
i combined this lil baby with my PDA which has mapping software, turned the ignition on, pressed a few buttons and ............."Please Drive Safely" in a rather pleasent female voice.
Here are some pics! ~Enjoy
Ron
BTW...like..who really needs GPS...but then again who really needs HU that does everything....not like they pat ur dog. **just cos**
